About

I am a born and raised problem solver. As a child, I practiced collaborative and creative problem solving completing jigsaw puzzles with my family. As an adult, I find joy in improving processes, seeing how small parts make up a whole, and finding more efficient and better ways to complete tasks or reach a goal. If I don't have the tools or skills to create the solution I imagine, I will hunt around until I find resources that will help me learn what I need to know. I'm a self-starter who is rarely satisfied with "good enough," which lends itself to the iterative process of designing and developing learning experiences.

After eight years as an educator, I decided it was time to seek new opportunities for personal and professional growth. When I started learning about instructional design, something clicked for me. I immensely enjoy mapping out learning experiences and using tools like Storyline and Vyond to develop learning that is engaging and helps people find solutions to problems they face.

I live a passionate life and am constantly on the move. My interests outside of instructional design include rock climbing, hiking and backpacking, reading, horseback riding and equine care, spending time with my husband and parents, taking care of my menagerie at home, swimming, gardening, playing roller derby, puzzles and board games, traveling (21 countries and counting!), photography, and watching TV series.
